Saucy Acupressure for the Modern Swinger from 1974

J. V. Cerney's Acupuncture Without Needles (1974) actually is rife with good advice. The real interest in this book, however, are the creepalicious illustrations that accompany the descriptions of how to cure ailments. I picture a guy who bought this book in a smoking jacket and with a combover saying, My dear, you have amenorrhea? Lie down....I can help!"

Further adding to the weirdness is the fact that Dr. Cerney is the one who executed the illustrations........!

Monkey @ Coop!'s

monkey
looked at this 5 times or so, and finally said hey! Monkey! Post it!! (like you're actually coming here to navigate to Coop - hah!)

In Russia, Chocolate Eats You !!

I was in Queens a few months ago & brought this reasonably delicious chocolate home for my kids. I just never got around to the public savoring of the "ASTONISHED BABY"..... or "baby in awe".... or "Gimme that chocolate, Uncle Pyotr!!"

Louisiana in 48 Hours

My daughter made me a going away card.....

uh.....she'll be - um, 15 in September....

On another flying note all I can say is:

Oh dear GHOD!!!

Moving on, I got these great pix of a Cajun oil change king in Metairie -

Katrina didn't kick his ass!!

The Superdome- looking poetically like a nuke plant,

and hauntingly ambient

when you're there, it hits you - thousands and thousands of people - our car would have been completely submerged - the overpasses that run right by full with evacuees. It had to be some first class horror.

I went a little nuts & bought a case of Blue Runner Creole Cream Style Beans - now I'm set for a while. The folks in Gonzales want 12 bucks just for shipping on 6 cans.

.....but I got some top quality service at Zuppardo's Economical Market. They were really helpful. Then, the TSA got their hands on 'em:

I'm sure these beans will cause some kind of explosion, just not the one they were looking out for.

Thanks for all the Gigolo Aunts...............................

Trip to heave and ho, up down, to and fro'
You have no word
Trip, trip to a dream dragon
Hide your wings in a ghost tower
Sails cackling at every plate we break
Cracked by scattered needles
The little minute gong
Coughs and clears his throat
Madam you see before you stand
Hey ho, never be still
The old original favorite grand
Grasshoppers green Herbarian band
And the tune they play is "In Us Confide"
So trip to heave and ho, up down, to and fro'
You have no word
Please leave us here
Close our eyes to the octopus ride!
Isn't it good to be lost in the wood
Isn't it bad so quiet there, in the wood
Meant even less to me than I thought
With a honey plough of yellow prickly seeds
Clover honey pots and mystic shining feed...
Well, the madcap laughed at the man on the border
Hey ho, huff the Talbot
"Cheat" he cried shouting kangaroo
It's true in their tree they cried
Please leave us here
Close our eyes to the octopus ride!
The madcap laughed at the man on the border
Hey ho, huff the Talbot
The winds they blew and the leaves did wag
They'll never put me in their bag
The seas will reach and always seep
So high you go, so low you creep
The wind it blows in tropical heat
The drones they throng on mossy seats
The squeaking door will always squeak
Two up, two down we'll never meet
So merrily trip forgo my side
Please leave us here
Close our eyes to the octopus ride!

Hot Dog on a Hamburg Bun -Crazy Innovation While Working From Home

Editing some video for work & my wife made me this:

Hot Dog - now get this - on a Hamburg Bun!!! The creative juices were flowing at our house today, boy...
Presentation being everything, the accompanying Mac n'Cheese (w/Tabasco, of course) is Spongebob:

L to R: Gary, Spongebob, Patrick, Squidward
and Cherries for dessert:

I hope the milk content in the Mac n' Cheese doesn't render them POISONOUS.

MMMM.... Here's Some Yams For You!

I shot these Yams while the box was lying in a dumpster. The imagery was compelling. I can't explain why I like what I like. The picture is a link to a cool 1024x768 DESKTOP WALLPAPER!!
You're welcome!

Boody Rogers' Sparky Watts from 1948 in Big Shot Comics

Boody Rogers had a swingin' style and a bent towards insane characters. His work shows up in a lot of places but he remains largely unknown. I included the cover to Big Shot Comics as well as a cool ad from the back.
Here's the files in a sequence of web pages:
