Our Neil Gaiman Christmas just moved into fifth gear. We’ve our shiny, new production of Anansi Boys on Radio 4, PLUS another chance to hear the mesmerizing Good Omens on our sister station Radio 4 Extra. Lower Tadfield here we come :)
We’ve also put together this short guide on how you can listen to both these dramas for free anywhere in the world:
I love seeing the BBC enter the Tumblr age…
David Thomas of Pere Ubu couldn’t get into his chair (bad legs-y) and sang the first two songs of the set bent over it. Paraphrasing my daughter: it was bad ass rock and roll to be unable to walk and still bang out songs. (at Johnny Brenda’s)
Lobster pizza, leeks, ricotta, cherry tomato, spinach. Well executed, sensible, tasty. (at Max London’s Restaurant + Bar)
Back at Boca in Saratoga Springs. This time, shrimp, instead of fried oyster, on the deviled eggs. (at Boca Bistro)
Pork shoulder banh mi at Michael Voltaggio’s ink.sack in the international terminal at LAX. Delish, carefully made, homemade chips. (at Tom Bradley International Terminal (TBIT))
Again, they were great. I couldn’t see how Thrill Kill Kult would replicate their recordings, but it was tribal and rich and compelling. A work of art.
