Next course was ricotta gnocchi with duck and peas and caramelized onions. The duck and the sauce penis were really delicious, but the big cloud like ricotta gnocchi was too stodgy for me. I like them tight and chewy. (at Proper Brick Oven & Tap Room)
I originally ordered lamb Harissa hummus. it was a reason I came here. They told me they were out of lamb that they would substitute their chorizo chili at no charge so I said okay. Surprisingly it really worked- the flatbread was top-quality and the reason it worked was that the hummus was very unchallenging not really lemony or garlicky just sort of a chickpea base for the flavor element which ended up being the chorizo chili. Also I’m dictating so get off me.
Was I thrilled? No. Was it very good? Yes
Not to be confused with Huntz Hall.
Or Hunt’s Hall - they’re trying to catch up . They have 57 varieties of show.
OK -I’m done.
Boar osso buco, braised bacon and Brie polenta, flash fried brussel sprouts, butternut squash, Red Onion marmalade. That shank was completely beautifully gedemft. This was a beautifully executed set of elements. Roasted brussel sprouts but that’s the only modification I would have made. Would order again. (at The Cork 1794)
Yes. It’s a gray cocktail. Protest song with what they called it and it’s Hendrick’s gin, Saint Germain, Eau de violette and prosecco. A delicious Powerhouse of a drink.
Aged 22 months in-restaurant prosciutto with arugula and cantaloupe salad. Really above-average. (at Sienna Mercato)
Homemade gorgeous chicken feta and broccoli stromboli. Reminiscent of a Gumboot chiton maybe with a little too much articulation. An Exquisite dish.
