I came in for a lamb shank but it wasn’t on the menu. Instead, this grilled spiced lamb shoulder had what they called peach jam but it was just sort of sugar damaged Peach strips that were perfect accompaniment. Also cucumber, rose petal yogurt and a scallion cake ……and a few chickpeas in there to go with my cocktail!
I’d have to say this meal was the best I can remember in a long time out. It was a mass of crazy ingredients in every one of the plates that just harmonized beautifully and woke your palate up with every bite. I originally ordered lamb Harissa hummus. it was a reason I came here. They told me they were out of lamb that they would substitute their chorizo chili at no charge so I said okay. Surprisingly it really worked- the flatbread was top-quality and the reason it worked was that the hummus was very unchallenging not really lemony or garlicky just sort of a chickpea base for the flavor element which ended up being the chorizo chili. Also I’m dictating so get off me.
