Slide Wheel From TV Viewer

I got my hands on a little tiny TV viewer a several years ago and it shortly flew to flinders after being in the hands of my tiny child. The kind that looks similar to this:

I kept the slide wheel inside and today threw it in the scanner at 4800 ppi and got this, which when clicked, gives a "beefed up" version - still really tough to see.....

I lusted after these things when I was little. The plot goes like this:

A Picnic Story with a Frog a Mouse an Ant and a Lady - Bird
  1. All Bound For Picnic
  2. Frog Jumping Into Water Says Lets Cross This River
  3. The Frog Sarcastically "Why Can't You All Follow"
  4. The Others Made A Plan To Cross Because They Couldn't Swim
  5. The Chick Brought A Leaf
  6. The Mouse A Walnut Shell
  7. The Ant A Straw
  8. The Lady - Bird A Thread
  9. In a Few Minutes A Boat Was Built
  10. The Boat Was Launched
  11. All On Board Safe Mr. Frog Wet And Angry
FEEL FREE TO SEND ME THE ONE FROM THAT OLD CIGAR BOX IN THE GARAGE!!

Ambient Image Corrupted Birds

This is a series of 21 images meant to be viewed with browser on full screen and left up, to cycle - 1 image every 2 seconds. Images are taken from tiny (1") illustrations from The Observers Book of British Birds. (see earlier post on Liverworts and Mosses) The resultant image corruption via enlargement and compressions is soothing blobby yet easily recognizable color and intent in scientific illustration. There are no controls- you cannot pause, go back or index.

So put on your Mozart, Boards of Canada, Eno, Autechre, or whatever and let it cycle.....

.....or go and see and listen to the birds in your yard and let that cycle.

Circleville Ohio Cemetery

Passing by - had to stop. The uncomfortableness Timmy had about walking through cemeteries has finally passed - 20 years after his death. Good 19th century sculpture, plus modern zing. Looky. Link @ pic

Yeah! Poorly Done Grade B Heroes!

This is something I wanted to try - a new flash slideshow tool.
The story is from The Jaguar, September 1962 (Kennedy commits to moon, Beatles get a record contract) so, uh, smell that spoor, Jaguar! The whole single-panel-at-a-time works for me, I guess, and the tool's a no-brainer to use (link to it at the end of the show).

Picture contains a hyperlink to take you to the Jaguar in: the Jaguar's 6th Sense!!
